How to Configure Outlook in Windows

If you need to add your email account in Outlook, Refer the below mentioned steps with images.



1. Open Outlook File
2. Go to File -> Click Account

3. Enter your Email id and Click Advanced Settings Option -> Click Checkbox(Let me setup my account manually).



Choose your option based on requirements (POP or  IMAP)



POP:

  1. Mails stored locally.
  2. Always accessible, even without internet connection.
  3. Internet connection needed only for sending and receiving mail.
  4. Saves server storage space.


IMAP:

  1. Mails stored on the server.
  2. Internet connection needed to access mail.
  3. Mail is automatically backed up if server is managed properly.


4. Incoming Mail Server Settings:

Username: Your Email Id
Password: Your Email Password
Server: mail.company.com
Port Number: 995 for POP or 993 for IMAP - Select SSL



5. Outgoing Mail Server Settings:

Server: mail.company.com
Port Number: 465 - Select SSL

And Enable My outgoing server requires authentication option and select use same settings as my Incoming server.



6. Click Next.
